My Hand Forever! By Dklassen

thats is right my ego is huge! i drew my hand and hereby proclaim that it is WICKED... Forever! anywho now onto the part that will actually intrest my teacher... The personal review. its buggered. The hand lines are too grey. either than that its okay (not to mention it is a school assignment) when i started this assignment i wanted it to be unlike all the others in my class (you might know how that feels) so i said to myself how do i make this peice unlike everyone elses and then it hit me... work! i should actually try. so i did just that i tried. and with the trying came my own style example; the small stars and leaves came from a need to fill in the empty spaces. if you look closes enough youll see how the strands lead through the fingers instad of just behind 'em or in front of them. o and if your a wiz with colors youll also notice that the colors can all be invert and look relativly the same. at the start of this drawing i just did it like everyone else but i used so smudge to give it a going somewere effect as though the color hats the lines and are trying to drun away. one the second square i thought id do somthing diffrent and make it more of a thermal view of the hand. and for the third all i did was invert it (but colored it manually) to make as though there is no warmth in the body. the fourth square is just and invert of the first but still turned out great considering atn that piont i was getting tired of the project. oh and after all that i decided to make sure noone could steal this sucka so i stuck my signiture in the middle (which i ripped off one of my deviants on deviantart, which by the way i got in trouble for cuz apparently we're not allowed on deviantart on school computers, which is gay because this is an art school and thats an art website) any ways that all i have to say so if you want leave acomment, id realy apreciate it.

Heartless Visitors by Alyn

i like this graphic peice of art. in fact i think its brillaint.the use of both warm and cool colors is absolutly amazing because they conflict with each other so greatly. the title is wonderfully done and that usually a hard thing to do seeing as if they were just plain pure white it would kinda overshadow the light coming of the edge of the world in the background (if you cant see the title it says 'Heartless Visitors') if you take a look at the actual to scale peice (which just so happens to be located here....http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/17686504/?q=heartless+visitors+boost%3Apopular+age_sigma%3A24h+age_scale%3A5) youll see the extensive detail the artist put into it. although the website address just below the meteor (yes its a meteor as in the 'picture' was taken in orbit) is ill placed. but everything else is just perfect. there are some other things that really make this peice stand out like the small blue land planet in the top left corner and the two bright blue trimmed white stars (nebulas?) also if you take the time you might notice the bright orange-red glow is not exatly coming from the meteors but instead from the sun peaking over the edge of the planet, makeing for a glorious effect. and one last thing i noticed was the use of every empty space, theres a star everywear you look, the only place unabated by the richness of the universe we see, are the black boarders the artist has put up which make for a really sort of epic effect. i copngragulate the artist on a job well done. this is a beautiful picture.

p.s. this picture was so good i had to do it justice by changiong my theme, Now thats a good peice of art!
